I had a Medela Pump In Style and it worked great for pumping at work. I do have my own office with a door, so I didn’t have any privacy issues that some women face. There were times I was busy or just didn’t feel like pumping, but I did it anyway so that there would be enough milk for the next day. I would just say stick with it. Definately get an electric pump. A Medela or even something better. It helps to be able to do both sides at once.

Ditto on a good pump. It makes a lot of difference. Also, talk to an LC if you have supply issues while pumping – they can often come up with a strategy that will work. I have a lot of experience pumping (almost 2 years before I even had the twins), so I thought I knew enough. But I still found that an LC could see what I could not, and come up with ideas I hadn’t considered.

I agree on the good pump. I have the Medela pump in style as well and it is so fast I can be done in less than 10 min start to finish. I always try and pump at work when they are eating at home so I stay on top of good milk production and make sure I have enough bottles for the next day
